SMEE AGM February 25th

On March 3rd Jerry Burchell will give a talk on the construction of a gas turbine locomotive and the modern manufacturing techniques he used in the process. More details here.

Stuart Walker has written a report on our recent highly successful attendance at the Model Engineer exibition at Sandown Park. See it here.

The Society exists to support and encourage builders of models and experimental devices. Our membership embraces a wide range of skills, interests and backgrounds.

Although our headquarters are in South London we have members all over the UK and throughout the world.

We publish a journal containing news and articles of interest to members six times a year. This is sent to all members by post and/or by email.

Monthly meetings on a wide range of subjects are held at Marshall House. We are fortunate to be able to attract many very good speakers. You might want to see our programme.

We have stands at all the major model engineering exhibitions and have a major presence at the Model Engineer Exhibition at Sandown Park and the London Model Engineering Exhibition at Alexandra Palace.

We do our best to assist beginners and as part of that aim we run training courses to give guidance on setting up a workshop and getting started by building a small working oscillating steam engine.

At Marshall House we have an extensive library and a very well equipped workshop for the use of members.
