The Society exists to support and encourage builders of models and experimental devices. Our membership embraces a wide range of skills and backgrounds.

Although our headquarters are in South London we have members all over the UK and throughout the world.

We publish a newsletter six times a year which is sent to all members.

At Marshall House we have an extensive library and a very well equipped workshop for the use of members.

We do our best to assist beginners and as part of that aim we run training courses to give guidance on setting up a workshop and getting started by building a small working oscillating steam engine. (See Courses)
